High Pressure Forged Steel Socket Welded Fittings

Socket welded pipe fittings refer to a pipe connection method in which pipes are inserted into the embedded walls of valves, pipe fittings or flanges.

Compared with butt welding, socket welding is usually used for small diameter pipes of 2 inches and below.

Fillet welds are used for socket welding, and when high structural strength requirements and high leakage risk are design considerations, socket welded joints are a better choice.

The fatigue strength of socket welded joints is lower than that of butt welded joints due to the fillet weld and the abrupt change in geometry.

However, socket weld joints are superior to other mechanical link joints.Socket welded pipe fittings are a group of high pressure pipe fittings used in various industrial production processes.

The characteristics are as follows:For conveying non-leakage flammable media, toxic or expensive media and steam from 300PSI to 600PSI

Only connect with ASME pipes, same caliber. It is used for long-term operation of pipelines and provides better flow characteristics.

Its materials are ASTM materials and its manufacturing standards are ASME B16.11.B16.11 covering pressure-temperature ratings, dimensions, tolerances, markings and material requirements for carbon, stainless and alloy steels. The material forms of optional materials are forgings, round bars, and seamless tubes.
